Thanks for one GREAT summer!

I realize that I haven't been able to keep up this blog like I had planned! I had originally planned on updating it with a few pictures from each session as I posted the sessions to their galleries... well that didn't happen.
It's been one busy summer for me here at Tricia Carter Photography.
Thank you to everyone for the overwhelming response on my first direct mailer. I only sent it to previous clients and referrals and had a jam packed summer full of sessions because of it:)
So thank you all very much. I've enjoyed each session and most of all I've enjoyed meeting all of you and getting to know your families.
The high school senior boom is also in full effect. They are all so unique and so full of personality this year. It's been great because each senior is completely different from the last.
I am heading on vacation for a week (gasp and awe) and I'm going to try my best to step away from the computer. It's hard, I do get separation anxiety...but I think I can do it!

So in the meantime, I will try to reply to your emails and inquires, it just might take a little longer.

As a little thank you for those of you who actually do check this blog and keep up with me even though I'm not too good at keeping up with blogging this summer- I'd like to offer you an email promotion.

If you're reading this and you're interested in a fall outdoor session-
send me an email with "fall color" as the subject and I will give you a FREE outdoor fall color session. Now this offer will only last for emails in by midnight on labor day:)

This can be for children, pets, families, engagements and seniors.

I have scouted out a few great places for fall color pictures this year and can't wait to share them with you.

I hope you all have a happy and safe labor day weekend!

Busy, Busy Summer

Things have been busy here at the studio. I have had a few 3 and 6 month sessions. And this weekend Rochelle had a fantastic portrait party in Kalamazoo! We thought that it might rain all day and we'd be forced to be in studio, but the weather cleared by about 10am. We did a combo of large family and individual families, as well as the kids. And even a set of newborn twins! It was a great weekend! Look for some pictures coming soon:)
I am also working on a few family day specials for late summer. Look for a mailer soon and if I don't have your address and you would like to be apart of these events, click on the "contact" portion of my page and send me your address:)
I will be offering sessions at some of the local parks, Kensington, Gallop Park in A2 and Hudson Mills in Dexter.
Thanks!

Will's 6 Month Session

This week I had the opportunity to photograph Little Will for his 6 month session. I did his Easter 3 month picture earlier this year with the bunnies. It's always nice to watch the little ones grow. This time Will was quite the comedian and had us laughing so hard with his giggles and squeals.

Howell Parks and Recreation Football

Last week I wrapped up the Howell Parks and Rec Flag Football League. It was a great opportunity for me to branch out into the community and work with kids. I offered a fresh new set of sports products that I think went over very well!

Channon's Portrait Party

I had the pleasure of doing a portrait party for Channon and her friends. Most of the kids had some sort of sport that they wanted to feature so it was neat to see all of the different outfits:) And the adorable smiles!

Crazy Email

I am so SORRY for clogging up your inboxes late Thursday night! I was attempting to set up an "out of the office" auto-reply...and it went horribly wrong. Apparently, the automator fished through my entire inbox and sent out a reply to every unanswered email. 412 of them. I apologize for the crazy emails....
And for those of you who weren't among the lucky ones to receive a barrage of emails, I will be out of the office at a photography convention until June 11th. I will try my best to respond to your emails in a timely manner.
Thanks again and have a great weekend!

Calvin's 6 Month Session

Calvin came for his 6 month session last week. He was absolutely adorable. What a smiley little guy! He brought his monkey and was literally all over it:) It was a very fun session!

One Month Old Stephanie

I gave a gift certificate to our neighbors for the birth of their little girl, Stephania Louise. They came last week for her one month session. She didn't like the studio lights too well, but she loved taking pictures with mom and dad:)

Julie and David's Engagement Session in Holland

Mother's Day weekend we did an engagement session for our friends Julie and David. They are getting married on Valentine's Day this year (which is also her birthday). We went to Veldheer's Tulip Farm in Holland for a gorgeous backdrop of Julie's favorite flowers, tulips. The pictures came out so great I just can't pick only a few to show you!

Samantha's Senior Session

Samantha is an amazing high school senior that I had the pleasure of doing a marathon session with:) She is graduating in just a few weeks, so we did a full studio session and an outdoor session in downtown Howell. She is a gorgeous girl- inside and out!
